Sponsored by Anne Voilleque and Louise Nelson
The Grand Finale of Season 76 and Maestro Thomas Heuser’s Final Concert

The Idaho Falls Symphony’s landmark Season 76 comes to a powerful close with Passing the Baton, a heartwarming and historic celebration of music, mentorship, and community. In a grand Side-by-Side performance, the talented young musicians of the Idaho Falls Symphony Youth Orchestra will join forces with the seasoned professionals of the Idaho Falls Symphony, performing together on one stage under the baton of Dr. Thomas Heuser in his final concert as Music Director & Conductor.

This once-in-a-generation event showcases the future of classical music in our region while honoring the legacy of Maestro Heuser, whose leadership and vision have transformed the Symphony for more than a decade.

The combined orchestra will bring to life Jean Sibelius’ Finlandia—a stirring symphonic poem of resilience and hope—and the thrilling Polovetsian Dances from Prince Igor by the highly romantic Russian composer, Alexander Borodin. After intermission, the Symphony’s professional musicians continue the program with the majestic Symphony No. 1 by Johannes Brahms, a towering masterpiece of emotional depth and orchestral brilliance.
