Soundscapes: Memory Box – Lost and Found
Tickets from $29.50
The Idaho Falls Symphony's Soundscapes series invites you beyond the traditional concert hall for an intimate chamber music experience where music, storytelling, and creativity come together in unexpected ways.
Featuring acclaimed improvising artist Craig Green alongside Idaho Falls Symphony musicians, Memory Box – Lost and Found transforms treasured photographs into music created in the moment. Before the concert, audience members are invited to bring a few cherished printed photographs. During the performance, the images are revealed one by one for the first time, and Craig Green and the musicians compose original, cinematic chamber music inspired entirely by their emotional response to each photograph.
Every performance is completely unique—a moving exploration of memory, emotion, and the stories that connect us. As treasured moments unfold on the screen, the music is created in real time, transforming personal memories into a shared artistic experience that can never be repeated.
Warm, personal, and unlike anything you've experienced before, Soundscapes: Memory Box – Lost and Found celebrates the power of music to preserve, interpret, and illuminate the moments that shape our lives. With limited seating at the Downtown Event Center, this is an extraordinary opportunity to experience music being created before your eyes in one of the Symphony's most intimate concert settings.
The Soundscapes Experience
More than a concert, Soundscapes invites you into the music. Each performance includes an informal conversation with the musicians, offering stories, humor, and insight into their musical journeys, the inspiration behind the program, and why the music still speaks to us today. It's a chance to experience world-class chamber music in a relaxed setting where curiosity and conversation are always welcome.
