The Search Series IV
Just before Valentine’s Day, the Idaho Falls Symphony’s Search Series IV brings audiences an evening of passion, drama, and sweeping musical storytelling led by the fourth finalist in our Music Director Search season.
At the heart of the program is Sergei Rachmaninoff’s rarely performed Piano Concerto No. 4, featuring internationally acclaimed pianist Roman Rabinovich. Richly expressive and rhythmically vibrant, the concerto reveals a more modern and adventurous side of Rachmaninoff while still embracing the lush lyricism and emotional intensity audiences love.
Praised for his “uncommon sensitivity and feeling” (The New York Times), Rabinovich has appeared on major concert stages around the world and is celebrated for performances that combine technical brilliance with deeply imaginative artistry. His interpretation of Rachmaninoff’s powerful concerto promises to be both electrifying and deeply moving.
The evening is filled with exotic color, sweeping melodies, and brilliant orchestral works — making it the perfect evening for this unforgettable Red Dress concert experience.
Join us for an evening of romance, virtuosity, and orchestral brilliance as the Idaho Falls Symphony continues the search for its next Music Director.
